2007 George R. Curtis High School Graduation Ceremony and Party

With 13 years of schooling behind us we can now say we’ve done it! On Friday, June 15th 2007 our class officially made the first step into the real world…so they say. The ceremony included performances of the National Anthem by Valhalla Vox, This Little Light of Mine by the A’ Cappella Choir, the Alma Mater and graduation song by the band. The Class of 2007 voted Frank Hankel, our A.P. Government teacher, as the faculty speaker. He made us laugh and wonder, and filled us with words of wonder, reminding us that “It is better to ask for forgiveness”. We were the first graduating class for our principal Mr. David Hammond. Mairgread Foley spoke as our Class President, reminding us what it meant to be a graduating senior, and “how lucky we are to live in a district that gives us 7 days off when it snows!” Each one of us has countless memories all the way back to Kindergarten. Capture the Flag, Ms. Birkett’s class, popcorn days, Drum Bums and Narrows View Nerds, being in high school while still in Junior High, Homecoming, Sophomore Research Paper, WASL, Football and Basketball playoffs, JA, 2006 Washington State Water Polo Champions, Snow Days, and Prom! No matter what High School memories stay with us, we will never forget our friends and the day we became Curtis Alumni.

Do something HUGE with your life, the future awaits us all!
